My name is Holly. I am a photography student, hoping to turn my enjoyment of photography into my career. I live out in the country, and I love it. I know that I am blessed to call it my home, because for me, I wouldn’t want to live in the city. To quote from the theme song of the old television show, Green Acres, “Land spreadin’ out so far and wide[,] Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.” I love to see the open fields, the old farmhouses and buildings, and I (usually) don’t even mind getting behind a tractor on the road. It’s all a part of my home, and I am thankful for it.
I also love nature. I am awestruck at the beauty that God has created for us to enjoy. And, that is, what it is, enjoyment. I enjoy taking in the beauty of nature, and I want to capture and share the beauty, scenery, and interesting things of the country and nature in my photos, so that everyone can enjoy these things.

Holly, I love the picture of the rose. I think we have a lot of the same interests!

Thanks for sharing your story Holly. Funny how we spend so much time at school together and really know very little about each other. (They keep us too busy to socialize!!) I adore your rose photo. You did an excellent job of getting clear focus on it. Just beautiful. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the coming year.

I really like the feel of this image. You did a great job at capturing the detail of the flower and filling the frame with the flower! Great Job.
